Vision XRAY Group records the information it receives about you from your referring medical practitioner via your referral form. This includes your:

  • name
  • date of birth
  • contact details
  • Medicare number and the
  • medical clinical history your referring doctor provides to us.

Our team double-checks your personal information with you before your test or procedure to ensure it is correct.

The sole purpose of collecting your personal information is to:

  • optimise your imaging study
  • ensure our radiologists have all the information they need for diagnosis
  • enable Vision XRAY Group to contact you or your referring doctor in the future if needed.

Securing your data

Vision XRAY Group stores all the personal information you provide on its secure servers.

We use encryption technology to ensure the results we send to your referrer are protected.

Our group has invested in state-of-the-art technology systems and organisational protocols to ensure we fulfil our responsibility for securing your data and prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

Using personal information

Where Vision XRAY Group provides your personal information to medical specialists or referring doctors, the medical specialist or referring doctor is obligated to use that personal information for the same primary purpose for which we collected it.

Vision XRAY Group may also disclose your personal information to the extent that it is required to do so by law in connection with any subpoena/legal proceedings. Any requests for your personal information from your own solicitor or any other medicolegal representatives are not provided unless authorised in writing by you.

Cross-practice data transfers

Vision XRAY Group stores collected personal information centrally. The information may be processed in and transferred between any of the practices in which Vision XRAY Group operates to enable the use of the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
